A Year In Review – Miss Jones 2022

2022 was a year of building, bridging with our communities, and setting industry standards for best practices in the cannabis retail space.

Our Miss Jones family celebrated a whopping 20 x 1 Year Outpost anniversaries with our Flagship location at Fort York celebrating 2 years just before the May long weekend. In addition to these milestones, Miss Jones opened its newest store in St. Marys, Ontario and we are looking forward to growing our footprint in 2023.

In September of 2022 we launched our loyalty program, Honour Roll. The first of its kind, our program allows Loyalty Members to earn unique badges which they can redeem for points towards any purchase. Rewarding loyal Outpost-goers with worthwhile and incentivizing perks was our first priority. Working alongside the Budler team, we pushed industry boundaries with our “gamified” badge program that truly makes earning on cannabis easier and more exciting than ever before. We encourage our loyalty members to “collect em’ all” – the more badges you collect, the bigger the savings on future purchases.

Through our E-commerce development we have sought out the newest technology to assist with creating a friendly shopping experience online with aroma and terpene info, customized shopping profiles, and continued cataloging of your favourite Miss Jones procured products. Co-shopping is now available. Go on your device in-store and flip through the products and see bud size, detailed context on heritage and favourite your most coveted stains for an easy pick-up next time you’re running on empty. Feel confident ordering online after your first shopping experience in our stores. Our budtenders have all the tools to help you make informed shopping choices.

If tech isn’t your thing, this year Miss Jones ventured into high-level events and partnerships such as a private shopping event with the Rebel Mamas Podcast duo, heading to the Muskoka’s to support the Neil Peart Annual Rush Golf Tournament and collaborating with a long list of high-quality, Ontario licensed producers.

We focused our efforts on community building with our mission to get to know our local cannabis connoisseurs and team members at all our Outposts. We sponsored Pride Fest London’s Annual Comedy Show and joined Orillia at their Summer Block Party making great connections with local creators. Our team ran alongside each other supporting Terry Fox in Barrie and we kick-started an ongoing initiative to give back by supporting The 519 Toronto which supports the Queer and Homeless communities in the city.

This past year’s industry events gave us a chance to network with likeminded cannabis lovers to connect as a MJ team and provide opportunities for our budtenders to learn more from our LPs at events such as Hall of Flowers, Lift and Co., The Kind Winter and Summer Fairs. We are eager to learn more and be a part of the changing landscape of cannabis in Ontario, and all the measures coming to support retailers and LPs.

Looking forward, Miss Jones is excited to announce our partnership with Leafly and Uber Eats to bring our delivery program to select Ontario markets this year – more to come on that! Honour Roll is “rolling” forward with the Semester 2 badge drop – you don’t want to miss it! What’s a LinkedIn post without something leaving you on the edge of your seat? Miss Jones has exclusively partnered with a first-of-its-kind tech company for a limited time only to bring to you a cannabis accessory that is sure to shake up your ritual. Exiting things coming to an Outpost near you this 2023 year.
